PROM 2008

Welcome back!! This blogging thing is more work than I expected. Last weekend was the Wilcox-Hildreth prom and Skyler attended with his lovely Junior girlfriend, Amariaya (I can never spell that right, sorry Ammy). The weather was better, the sun was shining anyway!! There were some beautiful dresses and I think everyone had fun. They had the red carpet walk up at the Minden Opera House as usual, ate and danced til midnight. Then the after prom was held at the Holdrege bowling alley. Ammy's parents were brave enough to get up or stay up early to make breakfast for them. We never did see Skyler as he slept a little awhile at Ammy's then headed back up to Kearney to the dorm to study, study, study. But he looked very handsome in his tux and they were a good couple. Of course, we couldn't let those young kids out party us!! We had "the gang" over for snacks, beverages and a few games of pitch. Which the men beat the women as usual, even with a handicap of bidding blind. The little kids ran wild and had a blast. But Sunday mornings are not so fun. Let's just say AJ fell asleep Sunday nite with his hands still folded from his nighttime prayer. Another busy week ahead here at the Jenkins'. Monday, we head to the school to watch the Spring play. Tuesday, AJ has soccer practice and I have a booster club meeting. Wednesday, church night of course. Thursday, Lexi has an eye appt. (maybe they will help solve her "tumor" headaches-as Lexi calls them) and AJ has his first soccer game. Friday, we fall to the couch exhausted from the week.
Hope you enjoy the Prom pictures and video. Remember, Skyler takes after his Dad.
